Mary’s Ice Cream Shop 2023

Mary’s husband, Dennis, was diagnosed with ALS after a prolonged illness and many doctors’ appointments. He eventually lost his ability to work, then to walk, and now even to speak. She became his full-time caretaker and had no time to work to provide for the family. Shepherd’s Heart was able to step in and pay for a full-time caretaker and a physical therapist to help relieve the heavy burden on Mary.

She had one sold ice cream out of a small mobile cart and really enjoyed the work. God laid on our hearts to help her start her own business so that she could support her family. With a little over $1500 she began by selling ice cream out of a small shop in her village. She now has a small cart for mobile orders and has begun making fries and tea when the weather is cold. She can provide for her family, has three employees and is now paying for her husband’s caregiver out of the proceeds of the business!
